It’s been a long hiatus hasn’t it. A lot had been going on since the end of last year and towards 2016. One major thing that happened was that I got sick, really down physically and it took me like almost 3-4 months to feel normal again.

Wow, it’s Feb of 2015. After Christmas everything was a whirlwind for me. My parents were around during Christmas so I made a big Christmas meal to commemorate their presence and of course, celebrate all things good in life. While it was such a challenge to have to plan and do the whole meal on […]
I actually got inspired to make this dish from a version of a kimchi soup I’ve always been making. This is not dakgalbi if one were to argue it’s origin….just some chicken stir-fried with kimchi. It is a quick dish to go with plain rice for those days you don’t wish to spend time in […]
I actually found this recipe in my stack of old recipe cards. But I can’t remember where they’re from….like a magazine or something. I tweaked it a bit in terms of the dressing and ingredients and came up with this. Initially I wanted to do a parmesan crusted chicken but I was lazy to break […]
I thought I’d kick off AFF Korea month with this popular street snack. Fried chicken in a gochujang sauce. They’re like buffalo wings Korean style. Gochujang is a savory and pungent fermented Korean condiment made from red chili, glutinous rice, fermented soybeans and salt.

So in the show, they showcased all sorts of food. I know everyone has this thing about searching for the perfect steak, or perfect pasta or perfect pie etc […]
Chinese New Year is approaching!! Bring out the feast!! Actually I’m still reeling over the post-Christmas bloats. But this condiment is so common everywhere you go. At Chinese wedding dinners is a must. It’s really easy to make your own and the ingredients are readily available. It’s perfect to go with any dish and for […]
This recipe is another no-brainer…I seem to be using that word a lot lately, maybe I should do a category of recipes that says, ‘Grey Matter….Optional‘. But I thought I’d share one of my go-to simple supper dishes. I love this jarred condiment since I don’t know how to make my own sambal yet. This […]
The weather has been very depressing lately. For the last two weeks, like clockwork, it would pour in the evening much to the chagrin of my husband because it’s rush-hour and the rain just makes the traffic jam worse. My only few complaints with this rain are that my plants are looking a bit overwatered […]
